What we do.

Experience in Canada.
Before Umezawa Bussan was founded, Kodai Umezawa and the team were already working in Canada: running restaurants and food businesses, opening new locations, and sourcing products, with operating experience at ZUBU Ramen and elsewhere.
History.

Where the name comes from.
Umezawa Bussan takes its name from the business Kodai Umezawa’s grandfather ran.
His business, also called Umezawa Bussan, was in Shibukawa, Gunma. It produced and wholesaled konjac and did some trading as well. It closed by around 2010, but the name stayed in the family.
After about 13 years in business in Canada, Kodai founded a new company in Japan in 2026, 株式会社梅澤物産, and gave it that name.
As a legal entity it is new, but the idea behind the trade is the same: find good products and get them to the people who need them.
